Michael Sowers

I began making pottery in 1971 in a high school art class in Casper Wyoming, we had a wheel but the teacher was a painter and did not know how to throw on it. I checked out a bunch of books from the library and proceeded to teach myself how to throw pottery; by the end of the semester I had made and sold my first teapot. It was after that I first saw someone else actually throw on the wheel.
