French Butter Dish with incised design in the lid. Each piece is handmade and hand carved so there are slight variations in design and color.
French Butter Dishes allows you to store your butter out of the fridge and yet it remains fresh. It does this by creating an air tight seal. You pack butter in the lid (designed to hold a quarter pound or one stick) and you place about an inch and half of water in the base. Invert the lid submersing the butter in the water and creating the seal. The butter does not mix (oil and water) but remains fresh and SOFT for easy spreading.

I love my butter press. In fact, l purchased my first 4, from Michael, when I was in Boise visiting my youngest daughter. I bought one for myself and the others for family. This purchase was a gift for my son’s girlfriend. These butter presses are a must have for your kitchen because it keeps your butter fresh at room temperature which gives you access to spreadable butter whenever you need it!
